San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer

Happy Monday, everybody! To start off the week, I wanted to share with you some pictures from the last wedding I worked on in 2011. Folks, I’d like you to meet Laura and Chris. They had a very simple but beautiful wedding. We were able to sneak away to capture these amazing wedding portraits. What I love about it is the sense of calm and peace you feel between the two. This was taken after the ceremony, but the location lends itself to the quite moment being shared by the newly wedded couple. I love these shots and I hope you do too!

Dynasty Cupertino Chinese Wedding Photos

It’s always a challenge finding new locations to shoot for a wedding or engagement; so I was happily surprised when Karen and Kelvin introduced me to Shoreline Park in Mountain Park. For their fall wedding, I really liked the colors they incorporated into the wedding and having a beautiful park backdrop really captures the time of year. It was a nice church wedding at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at the Dynasty Seafood Restaurant in Cupertino. It’s been a while since I’ve shot a wedding at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant. They recently renovated the place and it looks amazing for a wedding venue. Small touches that were placed throughout the wedding made a big impact on me. I really liked all the programs and printed works. I especially liked the cake topper with a bouquet to match Karen’s and copy their dog. It was a sweet and romantic wedding. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

San Francisco Fort Point Chinese Wedding

11/11/11 was a wedding date coveted by many. As was the case for Lisa and Willy, who booked me a year in advance to reserve the date. On the day of their wedding, the bay area was met with grey skies and rain. But we didn’t let that damper our mood. Lisa and Willy had a had planned a very cute and romantic wedding at Fort Point in San Francisco. Their color choice of pink really helped to lift the gloomy weather. Since it was raining we shoot the wedding portraits at Fort Point, a first for me. Usually it is a location couples choose for their engagement session. The wedding was filled with lots of love, laughter, and candy! There were amazing small touches like the candy bar that they had set up for the guests. Another special treat was the first dance. While this couple may look nice and sweet, they can really tear up the dance floor. There was a mix of genre as they started with a traditional song for their first dance; the guests quickly noticed a change when the hip hop and pop music started playing. You can catch the dance yourself here. It was all a lot of fun but one guest couldn’t make it. A friend from Hong Kong was unable to attend the wedding. So the groom surprised the bride by giving me a message sent from the friend to include in the slideshow. It was a great 11/11/11.

Rosewood Sand Hill Wedding Photos

Christine and Andy are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They are fun loving and not afraid to be silly, as you can see in some of these pictures. It was a really busy couple months before their wedding. Christine, a bay area native, moved to Los Angeles for work. The couple dated and spent most of their engagement long distance. As you can imagine, it was not easy planning a wedding. With just a couple months before the big day, Christine returned to the bay area. They had a lovely fall wedding at the Rosewood Sand Hill, a location I had heard a lot about. So I was happy to have the opportunity to shoot at this location. While the weather was a bit chilly, it wasn’t enough to bring down this happy couple. It was simple and sweet, much like this bride and groom. I had a lot of fun working with them and I think it shows through in these pictures. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!!
